Dear Visitors,

On behalf of the children, staff and Governors, I’d like to welcome you to Ethelbert Road Primary School’s Website.

I am incredibly proud and privileged to be the Acting Head Teacher of Ethelbert Road Primary School. We are a school which believes in the value of every child and adult who enters our doors. As such, we would like our whole school family, whether a child or an adult, to feel valued, happy, respected and to recognise their role in continuing to make our school a special place.

We believe that all pupils at our school deserve the absolute best and our aim is to help them succeed by reaching their potential in every area of school life. We are fully committed to working with parents to give children the very best start in their education. We have high expectations of everyone in our community ensuring we work together effectively to support our children with their personal development and learning. We strive to make our school a place where learning is irresistible.

At Ethelbert Road Primary School, we aim for high standards and outstanding achievement in a creative and fun environment. We encourage children to be successful learners, confident, resilient individuals and responsible citizens by emphasising the importance of respect, good manners, pride in our work and a sense of responsibility. Our inspirational, creative curriculum is designed to provide memorable and meaningful learning experiences.

Within our school, we have worked very hard to create a team of teachers, non-teaching and support staff that will support each child in reaching their potential. Many of our visitors comment on the strength of our ‘staff team’ and their shared commitment to help every child in the school have high levels of self-esteem and achieve their absolute best.

We hope that during your visit to our website you will gain a sense of the value that we place in each child and our desire to ensure standards, in all areas, remain as high as possible within the caring and happy community which is Ethelbert Road Primary School. If you are a prospective parent we hope that you will come and visit the school personally. Please phone the school office to arrange an appointment. We look forward to welcoming you to Ethelbert Road Primary School.

For all enquiries we can be contacted via e-mail or by telephone on 01795 533124
